A New Journey Begins Here

Welcome little Wesley!!! Our new family member!!

Our baby's due day was estimated to be July 19, however, today is already July 24!! Considering the size of the baby, doctor suggested to induce labor. We went to Holy Cross hospital around 9:00pm at night to get prepare.

As it turned out, there was quite a bit of drama during the delivery, and it scared both my mother-in-law and me!!  Around 2:00pm on July 25, our nurse noticed a big drop of baby's heart rate during the contraction, the doctor immediately decided to perform an emergency c-section. Picture below shows the normal baby's heart rate at 153 beats/min, it dropped below 80 beast/min. at one point..........very scary! Fortunately, everything came out OK!!                        

Doctor allowed dad to take photo in the operation room. When I saw the baby came out, first thing came to my mind is: What is this "thing" came out from mommy's belly? Looks like an alien from the movie, all wet and sticky......Just kidding, we are so glad that  both baby and mommy came out healthy and sound.
